The Hardest Part

I guess the hardest part was accepting that we weren't meant to be together.

Not today, nor tomorrow.

Not in this month, nor in this year.

Not in this timeline.

Not in this lifetime.

And I guess the Universe's fateful burden was too much for our meek and feeble shoulders.

Too many feelings, too little to say.

Or was it the other way around?
